About Almer:

Almer is a Partner at Ferrer Goldfine Law Group.  He focuses his practice on elder law and real estate.   As a business owner and with over 10 years of experience serving our aging population, Almer understands the value of advising clients in wealth and asset preservation.


Almer’s real estate area focus comes with a rich history of real estate knowledge. Almer currently serves as Director of Operations for New Jersey Community Property & Redevelopment, a 501(c)3 registered not-for-profit organization. ‘NJCPR’ is an organization that focuses on revitalizing and investing in communities by tackling issues like affordable housing, foreclosures, down payment assistance and specialized housing. 


Almer also has served on planning and zoning boards, where, as a member, he considered applications for large scale multi-unit developments as well as modifications of single and multi-family homes. 


Almer also has served as counsel to the Newark Zoning Board as needed. Currently, he handles real estate transactions for both buyers and sellers of single/multi-family homes, coops, condominiums, mixed use units and investment properties. 


Almer is a second career attorney.  Prior to becoming an attorney, Almer served for eight years as a Case Manager for Hudson County Protective Services where he gained critical knowledge in understanding the social & legal implications of elder abuse, neglect and exploitation. Almer’s practice also includes guardianship and assisting clients in probate administration. 


Almer graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey where he studied Political Science and International Studies. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School- Newark Campus.  During his tenure, he was part of the Minority Student Program and was part of the Entrepreneurship Clinic where he assisted small businesses with their legal business needs. Almer interned for the Honorable Radames Velazquez, J.S.C. and served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Mitzy Galis-Menendez, P.J.Cr. 


Almer is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey. 


Almer was born in Caracas, Venezuela. Almer currently resides in West New York, NJ with his Cane Corso, Titus. In his spare time, Almer enjoys traveling and trying new cuisines.
